The investor's goal was to create a functional living space for his family that would provide a suitable environment for their life. The layout is designed to be as flexible as possible, allowing for modifications according to the owner's needs and ensuring generational variability. The design also considers the possibility of adapting the layout for people with disabilities, making the home barrier-free. Additionally, the potential for an inhabitable attic was taken into account. The property will also feature outdoor recreational areas, including a green garden bed with a covered terrace, creating a visual connection with the exterior. Another requirement of the investor was the design of a garage structure embedded into the terrain, adjacent to the original retaining wall, which has been preserved almost in its entirety.
The building is a simple, single-story structure with a gable roof and a rectangular floor plan. Its longitudinal side is oriented towards the main road, while the gable ends face the garden. The entrance to the building is located on the street-facing side of the plot, along with the driveway for vehicles. A driveway to the plot is necessary, as it is approximately 8.5 meters away from the main road.
Regarding the selection and integration of functions within the building, the most important factor is the proper division of the home's day and night zones. The living room, together with the kitchen area, has access to a covered outdoor terrace. The rooms are oriented towards the south and east, while the kitchen and sanitary facilities are positioned on the northern side, facing the retaining wall. The center of the layout is divided by a hallway that separates the day and night zones. From the hallway, there is an access hatch with a ladder leading to the attic. In the future, a full staircase can be installed in the utility room, located opposite the building's entrance.
By designing the layout flexibly with a vision for the future, it will remain adaptable over time, making it easier to implement necessary changes according to the needs of the family home’s residents.
